Purpose: To consider why you’d like to learn Linux commands and identify some of the hurdles that have been or could slow down your progress so you can make the jump!
Introduction:
Previously, I struggled to get to grips with learning how to use the command line, it took many attempts and some on and off learning before I started using the command line regularly to support my testing efforts.
Here are some hurdles I came across:
- Text-based system is intimidating and difficult to learn
- Jargon
- UI is easier
- Don’t use it daily
Activity:
- Share some of the reasons why you’d like to learn Linux commands and some of the hurdles you have experienced or think you might experience when learning this
