Hard problems of Software testing

I saw one discussion in 2009 on the same topic on the ministry of software testing - Matt Heussor, Alan Page posted on this discussion

In 2017 - here is an attempt to pick this up one more time and discuss

What do you folks think?

The trite answer is “all of them” - mostly because software development is a wicked problem. That guarantees that anything about software testing is also going to be a wicked problem.

You’ve summarized the issues around it rather well, particularly the way there’s an infinite number of ways to work with any non-trivial application, no single “right” answer, and levels of complexity that go way beyond anything easy.

Me being the kind of person I am, I think that’s what makes software testing so much fun.
