Last week at TestBash Brighton, I attended the Testing Planet discussion about the role of AI in testing. During this session, a particular comment stood out to me - AI could have a negative impact on collaboration.
This idea sparked a new line of thinking for me. Could AI-powered tools—designed to improve efficiency—actually lead to less collaboration among team members? Could they encourage more independent work at the expense of teamwork?
I wanted to investigate this in more detail so I’ve created a survey that will analyse current usage of AI-powered tools and peoples thoughts on the impact AI will have on collaboration in the future.
I would love to get as many responses to this as possible (not just from the testing community) so it would be awesome if you could complete it and share it with your workplace and share on LinkedIn as well.
It would also be nice to hear some of your stories - Do you have any examples of how AI-powered tools have been useful in the workplace? Do you feel AI has reduced the need for collaboration?
