What are your favorite hotkeys and keyboard shortcuts while working on test automation?

In my department we are building up the internal testing community and have therefore asked our colleagues what they want to know more about.
The most asked topics are about test automation. One such topic we are currently preparing is useful keyboard shortcuts when working on test automation.
So, I thought Iโ€™d ask you guys as well. What are your favorite hotkeys and shortcuts? Do you have an all time favorite?

  • Basic ctrl+c, ctrl+v is always the best
  • Alt+enter all the way :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:
  • All of them! :smiling_face_with_heart_eyes:
  • I make my own templates for code completion :star_struck:
  • There are hotkeys and keyboard shortcuts? :loudly_crying_face:

I might be too old, or use too many tools and forget the shortcuts in each of them or mix them up which I also hate as I end up with messing up something.

Also, thereโ€™s so many interesting topics to talk about in test automation. If only a bit of effort would be put in by anyone in the teamโ€ฆ

In mac:

Command +shift+3 for taking screenshot
Command +shift+ 4 for taking screenshot of selected area

Command+shift+5 for screen recording
Command +tab for switching between ide and browser

Command +z to undo typed word

Back arrow +enter key in terminal to execute any previous command again.

ALT+F4 because I then stop working on it.
