AI is the latest buzzword in the market. I’ve started noticing all kinds of training co’s suddenly offering ‘AI based testing’ trainings to make quick bucks out of FOMO among many professionals. Just like Agile process was back in 2010/11 days. Then came ‘Automation Testing’ in mid-2010’s years and everyone started using the keyword everywhere.
The interest will peak for a while and then gradually mature when organisations realise total surrender to Agentic AI’s can be a recipe for disaster. There already was some news about a US based company employing an AI agent for CI/CD pipelines and it eventually ‘deleted’ a DB of a ‘Environment’ itself. Most likely it’ll come down to ‘Automation Tools’ like preference in future where humans will learn and utilise it to improve efficiency in certain processes. But testing will still remain a human centric effort at least for another decade. This is just my perspective !! ![]()
