I have never performed ‘Security Testing’ as such so I have opted for option 2 but after reading this article:https://amzur.com/blog/role-of-ai-in-security-testing/ , here are my insights about the topic.
"To perform in-depth ‘Security Testing’ requires testing teams to be well aware of known as well as evolving security holes in all software components being using their application – be it databases, web or app servers, APIs, and so on. This is where AI comes into play when performing Security Testing’.
- I think yes security testing is an area that AI can effectively support and improve since AI can read ‘Hackers’ patterns discover new possibilities, and test the application with large data sets will be more efficient and time-saving by humans indivisually.
- But before actually using ‘AI’ for security testing, the risks and opportunities for AI-supported Security Testing have to be well-read and understood.
