Learning more about the test manager role

Well, quality coach roles are pretty rare and hard to find, at least from what I noticed. And I think I might be still a bit wet behind the ears for that role, test manager role has some similarities to quality coach and I see it in job ads a lot more often.

I got the Manager’s path on Audible and I’m almost done listening to it. The one thing I like the best about the book is all the advice Camille Fournier shares about management seems like completely common sense stuff. I’m really enjoying the book and thanks again for recommending it to me!

I’ve also found Turn the Ship Around!: A True Story of Turning Followers into Leaders on Audible so that one is next on the listening list. I’m sure this one will be interesting as well, the reviews on Amazon seem to be very favorable. :headphones:

Simon Sineks’ Leaders Eat Last is an excellent book. :open_book:

I got a list of resources for test management and I’ll be adding that one, thanks, Simon! :ninja:

Off the back of this discussion, we’ve now created the following wiki. Everyone is welcome to add to it.

I’m about halfway through the Leaders Eat Last book, I’m really liking the plentiful references to human psychology and biology thought the book.

Especially the part where it says that people who are good for others and the community get more oxytocin in their system - so doing good makes you feel good.

I always felt like evil is an abomination and deviation from our true nature - sorry to get philosophical but I had to share my impression about the book, and thanks for recommending it @simon_tomes!
