Since the end of the 90s in the world of testing. Test automation with StarOffice (later: OpenOffice.org, fork known as LibreOffice) was the starting point. Sun Solaris SPARC and Sun Ray Ultra-Thin-Client integration for it. I was a team member of the ISO/IEC26300 project (Open Document Format) in OpenOffice.org.

For a little more than a decade I worked for the European energy traders in B2B software projects like EFETnet/EQUIAS and the European Energy Exchange (EEX) / European Commondity Clearing (ECC) or in blockchain based P2P trading like Enerchain. My focus has always been and still is the planning and specification phase, because we are supposed to help the projects to avoid mistakes.

Today I work for a German insurance company. My team coaches other teams in all aspects of testing (Centre of Excellence). Test automation is since now ~30 years my daily business.
