Time: 10-20 Minutes
Purpose: Your team may get so good at testing that dedicated testers may not be needed. What will you do? What would be needed to get here?
Introduction: Modern Testing doesn’t advocate that dedicated testers aren’t needed. However, we recognize that it’s possible for teams to grow to a level of quality culture and testing where dedicated testers may not be needed.
Activity:
Is it possible that your team could grow to a level where dedicated testers aren’t needed?
- List 3-5 things that would have to happen for your team to not need dedicated testers (“when pigs fly” is not a valid response)
- How likely (or unlikely) are those things?
This will be a fantastic discussion topic in the accompanying thread.
