Thanks @parwalrahul your article gave me the idea to add my MoT profile to my LinkedIn and not just that .. I will continue to contribute for the MoT community

Great, thanks for acting on my article advice.

It’s always a great thing to start with :green_circle: Small contributions

These are things that are easy to start with, fun to do, and valuable to many!

  • Add a glossary entry
  • Share a testing meme
  • Add a memory or story from your testing journey
  • Answer a question on The Club

All the best!

A really helpful article Rahul, thank you. :folded_hands:

I’ve been in and out of MOT for the last few years, but this year I really felt I needed something else for my career, to connect, contribute and share more in the community. So started really trying to contribute to the club where of possible where I thought I could add value. That gave me a lot of confidence and I started to find there were areas that I could dive deeper and move into writing articles.

So whilst I haven’t been specifically motivated by boosting my portfolio, its happening. My connections are growing, my confidence is growing and I feel I’m naturally evolving how I contribute to the testing community, because I’m enjoying the journey. I wouldn’t rule out anything for my next steps because its all new and I can’t describe how much value I’m getting from contributing.

So I’ve certainly made some subtle changes to my profile based on your article and its good to through your definitions of contributions to see where I am and where I could be.

I’ve personally started using the term MEO.

I wrote a bit about it here. It’s quite fun to think about it like this.

Woah! Learned 2 new terms:

MEO & GEO. Thanks for this.

This is how I see it. Is my understanding correct?

Yes, I think that works, basically contributions in the MoTaverse will be picked up by SEO and GEO.

But the MoTaverse is it’s own thing too where people come to search for things, and our goal is for that to increasingly be the case.

There’s probably a angle in the not too distant future idea where we get AI fed into the MoTaverse we will have our own GEO

This was a brilliant article, and I am hoping that by trying to interact with the community more then I haven’t yet got the most out of my MoT profile.

Saying that so far the best I have got out of it is the opportunity to learn and meet, mostly digitally, so many great software testers with so much to give.

Great that you have created a profile, I had one languishing for a while so do remember to give it some love every once in a while.

What I can say is the more you put in the more you will get out of this great community

Thanks for the feedback and spending your time on my article

Learning & meeting folks who are in the same boat like yours is a great leverage.

MoT is like a 100x leverage for testers who understand the power of networking, growth, and connections.

Thanks @parwalrahul your post is really helpful.

Before reading your article I was actually thinking, “I already have a LinkedIn profile.” Why MoT profile after reading the article totally agree

MoT profile is like a professional journal so created my MoT profile

I can see my progress through the badges I earn, which makes me feel like I’m improving every day

I see that your profile is set to private.

Maybe you can update it to “public” as private profiles are not visible to others.
