Hi everybody, my name is Eva and I am located in Czechia. I am a QA tester for almost two years.
My short-term goal for this month is to read thru at least 8 interesting articles on QA processes and strategy and transform them into valuable notes and maybe pitch some suggestions to my project lead.
The long-term goal for the second half of the year in my work sphere is expand my repertoire of testing frameworks and tools beyond Cypress. I have Playwright and Postman in my mind.
Hello everyone!
My goal is to find a job in another country with relocation. Honestly, this country should be Portugal, but sometimes I think it is not the final variant.
Steps that should I do:
I should have a brilliant English level (joke, it will be enough for me to have nearly B1-B2)
I should have a suitable CV for a job offer
I have to send my CV to different companies
Next level: pass interviewers (so, I have to be prepared for different technical and soft skills questions)
About myself: I have around 7 years of experience as a QA engineer in an international company, my English is not bad as I had when I started but not as good as I want. I was a full-stack employee in my team, I know java, SQL, and I worked with SOAP, JSON requests and responses etc. It looks like I am a good specialist but after last year I think that the QA sphere has a lot of information that I donāt know.
Thank you for this challenge. I think it will help me with my goal.
With now 4 years of part-time working experience, I want to step up in my role as the sole tester at my workplace. I really like my job and what I do, but very much consider myself to be a āvery junior testerā with knowledge gaps but also battling imposter syndrome (plus an actual medical syndrome, thus the part-time work).
So I want to grow as a software tester, solidifying the basics and looking into the deeper thoughts, knowledge, and processes in this field of work. To do this, I have recently started collecting and reading books and articles, and signed up to different newsletters for a broader input source of knowledge and thoughts from the community. I write down all my collected knowledge, thoughts, and ideas in Obsidian, linking everything together to create my own ādigital brainā. By the end of this year, I want my own process of collecting to feel natural and be my assurance of my knowledge in this field.
The bigger goal for me is that I want the value I bring to merit an āactualā software tester salary, not my current ātest helperā level salary. (To clarify, Iām happy and grateful for my current salary. It has been fair so far based on my situation. The goal is just to take it to the ānext levelā.) I have aligned this goal with my manager, and we are in agreement that this will happen if I can back this up with the knowledge needed and make some kind of impact on our different projects. We will sit down and review in more detail on my progress late this fall.
And finally, starting to take part in the community. Here I have no big goal in mind, just start somewhere and find the most comfortable way forward. And here I am at the Ministry of Testing, not only reading great content but will do my best to take part in the Junior Software Tester Curriculum events and 30 Days of Testing

Hello, I have over 10 years of experience in manual testing. I also have some experience with automated testing using Java. Currently, my goal is to learn Python and become a sought-after specialist in automated testing
Hi everyone, this is Tihraqua from Sudan, Iāve been working as a QA engineer for more than three years, and currently as an Application QA & Testing specialist in an international telecom company, regarding my short-term career goal, Iām seeking to advance my knowledge in the automation area and to add to the community by contributing to the open source automation frameworks, also to go further step in the managerial area by developing my soft managerial skills, on the other hand, my long term career goal is to lead an international āLeadingā outsource testing company.
Iām fortunate that Iām in a role where I get to lead QA engineers and help shape and mold them into modern quality engineers. My career goal is to continue to help others on their learning journey, as well as educating the wider development teams on the need for a shift in the way they think about testing.
Itās an exciting time to be in the software quality space and I plan on growing as it grows.
Step 1: Start and grow a quality community within my organisation
Step 2: Talk at and attend conferences across Europe, not just testing ones
Step 3: Help define and grow a new career path for quality engineers
My name is Peggy. Iām based in Silicon Valley (SJ). Iāve worked mainly as a manual QA tester for 8+ years. At my last job, I was gaining experience, running and troubleshooting automation, and starting to write some scripts using WebdriverIO. Unfortunately, my company did a round of layoffs in March and my job was one that was affected.
My short-term goal is to find a job. Ideally making close to what I was making when I was laid off. Iām a single mom with a mortgage to pay and living in SJ is very expensive, unfortunately. Iāve been networking and applying. I have been getting interviews so that is a good sign. I also started going through the Grow with Google certificate for Cybersecurity. Part of the technical track for that is diving deeper into SQL and Python. I thought this would be a good addition to my toolbox. I am an introvert by nature, so another long-term goal is to do more networking. I would also like to start mentoring. I have been lucky in my career and had folks that gave me good advice, etc., and would like to pay it forward. If I had a dream job/company it would be working at a company related to music, health or fitness, as those are my passions.
Hello there:)
I have been in the QA field for over 9 years and at the moment I am a QA Lead in a self-managed team. My goal is to improve my English and find a way to share more with the community and also support others on this journey. I believe that testing is more about a unique mindset, curiosity and creativity and I am willing to be an advocate of this way.
