🤖 Day 1: Introduce yourself and your interest in AI

Hello everyone,

My name is Josef, with a background developing database / business intelligence systems for 15+ years I’m currently working in insurance industry as a requirements engineer which includes also testing.
To testing was always an integral of my work (official or not).
MoT is a profund source to stay current in software testing for years.

My interest in AI is how to leverage this technology for aspects like test case generation, test result analysis, and to ensure and enhance data quality. Especialy in an agile environment.

I’ m interested in on various aspects of this technology.
Learn to leverage AI for my day to day work

Introduce yourself: Tell us about your background, your role in testing or tech and how you found this community.

My name is Ash, I’m from the United Kingdom and have been a tester for quite a few years now. I have worked in exploratory testing, automation, making tools to test with plus performance and load testing. Some of the ingredients of a successful test approach I think. My first TestBash was in Brighton in 2013, I was working at a consultancy at the time and colleagues introduced me to MoT. I have since been a speaker and volunteer at various MoT events.

Your Interest in AI: What initially piqued your interest in AI in testing? Are there any particular areas of AI in testing that you’re eager to learn more about?

At the moment, I will use generative ai to help me research the technologies I am about to test (strengths, weaknesses, claims), get my exploratory testing notes in order and generate small scripts for tasks that don’t warrant the full test toolsmith treatment, generating one off test data, that sort of thing.

Your Goals: What do you aim to learn or achieve in this challenge?

I’m looking for a bit more inspiration, can I sensibly deepen my usage of AI in testing, while also being aware of its potential pitfalls.

Hi Guys.
My name is Juan , a Colombian QA engineer with +3 years of experience working in different fields, but focus most of the time in Manual QA.
I met MOT a few months ago thanks to Linkedin and a publication there. Since that moment I come to MOT almost everyday to read/ learn something, and this has been a very good experience. Lot of learning since I began to visit MOT page.

Regarding AI, I’m very interested in see how the IA is taking part of the Testing/QA world, how it can help us to develop our work better and enhace processes, methodologies, etc…
Besides that I’m very intestested too in the testing/QA on AI based tools, because this is getting integrated everyt day in our work, so it’s important to know how to tackle that and how to test AI’s properly

Bes regards.
Juan

Hi all-

I’m Sean, a quality assurance professional located on the east coast of the United States. Like many, I believe that AI has the potential to cause harm if not implemented or engaged with care & consideration. That said, I also believe that there are benefits & positive possibilities if harnessed thoughtfully.

I’m joining this challenge to learn first & foremost, but also because I’m curious & a little bit afraid. I don’t want to become outdated because I’m too stubborn to accept this evolution.

My goal is to find something in the AI space that makes my life easier. I hope to apply this learning both personally & professionally, and, in turn, teach others that are curious. I believe this goal will satisfy my desire to learn, my curiosity, as well as quell some of my fears about this change. Looking forward to it- thanks!

Hi All
This is Anushree. I have been into Testing for almost 12 years mostly manual but upgrading myself to automation through constant learning and practice.
I’d joined MOT community in 2021 and have been a part since then. It’s an awesome community with great knowledge sharing about testing from every member of MOT.

My interest in AI came through tech news. Tech news are flooded with AI and its use cases. It’s quite evident that AI is being part of testing also and have read about AI in testing at many websites. Practically, I do not have much experience about AI in testing. I have joined this challenge with the curiosity to learn how AI would help in improving testing processes for all types of domain. Currently I’m working in manufacturing domain but planning to switch to other domain, so I would definitely love to know AI and its use cases in testing for different types of domain.

My goal is to learn all the aspects of AI and its uses in testing and practically implement it in my daily work. This would help leverage my knowledge. This 30 days challenge would help me and everyone in this community a lot.
