My name is Alin, Iām a QA engineer interested in all things related to testing in general. I believe that all new technologies and tools, that can make our life easier, should be understood and used. I think that the integrations of AI tools ,from the beginning to the end of of SDLC , will change the way we approach testing and make us better at providing quality products. No pressure
Iām a QA professional at Chirpn IT Solutions, leading a team of testers with a focus on manual testing. My interest in AI was sparked by its potential to enhance testing processes, such as identifying missing requirements and automating tasks. Iām particularly interested in exploring use of AI for testing automation.
In this challenge, I aim to deepen my understanding of AI in testing and gain practical experience implementing AI-driven solutions. Iām excited to connect with fellow professionals and collaborate on innovative approaches to testing.
Thanks for the initiative and really excited to know more about the influence of AI in software testing
Introduce yourself: Myself Vishnu, 18 years of experience in software testing which covers various domains such as Healthcare, E-Commerce etc. Working as QA Team Lead now
Your Interest in AI: I would like to know more about AI in testing such as Automatic test suite, test data, test case creation etc
Hi everyone, Iām Sowmya, a software automation tester passionate about staying ahead of the curve in this dynamic field. I have experience in various tools like Selenium, Cypress, Rest Assured, Playwright, and Karate, and used them to automate web application testing.
With the ever-evolving technology landscape, Iām particularly intrigued by the potential of AI in software testing. I believe it holds the key to unlocking valuable insights from vast test datasets, leading to improved efficiency and enhanced software quality. This is further reinforced by our organizationās current exploration of AI for analyzing test cases and results and identifying areas for improvement.
Therefore, Iām highly motivated to learn more about AI and its applications in software testing. This knowledge not only empowers me to contribute strategically to our organizationās AI initiative, but also equips me with valuable skills to advance my career in the ever-evolving landscape of software development.
I studied Computer Science, but didnāt start working in Tech right away. I took a detour and spent a few years pursuing Illustration & Comics before finding my way into Test. I even drew some things for Ministry of Testing in the past! I really like this community, even if Iām not such an active member right now. Iāve met so many lovely people, and learnt a lot, though TestBashes in particular.
Iāve been in testing for about 6 years, and the bulk of that time as a consultant. It was great to see such a wide range of projects, products, and teams in that time and be surrounded by passionate and knowledgeable colleagues.
Right now Iām working at JetBrains, on the AI Assistant Team.
This is the first time Iām working on a desktop product, and anything relating to ML, so Iām learning a lot every day. Which is both exciting and overwhelming, depending on when you ask me.
So my everyday involves testing AI-powered features (that aim to make coding and development activities easier/faster) but thatās a little different from leveraging AI to support testing activities - and thatās why I think this challenge sounds interesting.
It feels awesome to join this group of passionate folks.
Here is my quick introduction:
I am Rahul Parwal from India. I am also a software tester like a lot of you.
Love to engage in testing communities and learn from them.
Currently, working as a Specialist with ifm engineering on IoT and Industrial Automation topics.
My interest in AI:
I feel that our AI is certainly the next big thing (quantum leap) in the technology era. However, itās still on the upside of the hype cycle.
I want to learn and organize my thoughts on how AI helps testers in a practical way.
Goal:
To do all the practical exercises and learn from my peers.
Learn the core concepts and limitations associated with AI in testing.
Learn to leverage AI for my software testing and day to day workflow needs.
Thanks all!
Looking forward to working with you all
Btw, I am video recoding my learning journey. Here is my Day 1 video:
Hey, I am Asif Nawaz!
I am student of BSCS and totally new here and thatās my first comment too. I am currently finding my testing feet.
I am not working anywhere yet and also want get idea and get chance to show and enhance my skills. Iām interested to learn and find out more about this growing space in the testing world.
Hello, my name is Lavanya. I am a Senior QA Analyst. We have started using AI based test tool for automation and that has helped me significantly in wanting to learn more about AI. What I want to learn is how to auto generate test cases by using UI when we have some of the workflows automated.
Thank you for this initiative that helps many QAs learn more about AI.
My name is Benjamin, I am Test Automation Engineer at trivago in Germany. For me, there is no question that AI is very important for all jobs and should not be faced in fear. Currently, I use AI tools in my daily work (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, etc.) and it gives me quite a production boost, especially when writing and refactoring code.
At the same time I see the negative side of things, starting with decreasing creativity (all AI generated content looks and feels the same), hallucination, layoffs, huge environmental impact of training and using LLMsā¦
I want to get a better understanding on the pros and cons and how it all works in more detail. Also I am interested in the ways the AI industry will shift when they have to be profitable.
My name is Elibariki John, I am Test Automation Engineer at BluefinDigital located in Tanzania. I was also interested to understand using of AI in simplification of automation testing current using cypress and playwright as automation testing tools to find intergration of AI with testing tools.
Hey, Iām Ezra! Iāve been in the testing game for a while, making sure software is top-notch. Iām all about those meticulous testing methods. AI has me hooked, and Iām on a mission to dive deep, understand its twists and turns, and see what cool stuff it has in store. Come along for the ride as I explore the endless possibilities of AI!
Introduce yourself: Iām Gareth, a Principal Test Engineer at ASOS. I work with frontend and backend technologies, working closely with teams to help them develop and enhance their own testing approaches, as well as doing some testing myself as and when required.
Your Interest in AI: I recently gave a talk about AI4QA as part of our own internal QA Community event, which weāve ran 2 of now. Itās piqued my interest, both in terms of how we can use AI to further our testing, but also the ethical impacts of AI and how we as testers can be in a unique place to challenge and help shape it.
Your Goals: For me itās about having a broader knowledge of how to apply AI, and the impact it can have. How can we use it? How should we use it? How shouldnāt we use it? That sort of thing.
Hey everyone, Iām Nataly, QA engineer in a medium size company I am curious how AI is developing and want to take part in its implementation thatās why Iām here. Until now it seems to be helpful and not at the same time it would be great to find a work ai can do in my everyday tasks without re-check from my side
Iām Theresa, and Iāve been working as an Agile tester for a year now. One aspect of my job that really fascinates me is the potential of AI to enhance our work. Over the past year, Iāve seen glimpses of how AI-powered tools can streamline testing processes, optimize test coverage, and even predict potential issues before they arise. Itās an exciting time to be in this field, and Iām eager to continue exploring the ways AI can revolutionize Agile testing.
Hi All, Iām Peter, work in a healthcare company and want to learn more how AI can help us in our daily tasks and how we can use AI to cover more areaās and perhaps even give us fresh ideas about software testing. Look forward to build some experience and implement this in our team.
Hey everyone,
Iām Bill - Iāve been a tester for a loooong time. I started my exploration into AI in 2014 and eventually completed an MSc in AI (2021) as part of a transition into more AI/ML engineering-focused roles. Mostly iām focused on how we test AI Systems but also fascinated by how we can build and use AI to assist with our testing.
Iām here to contribute and support you all during this challenge so feel free to reach out and ask me questions if you want.
