Ey up! I’m an allround testing potato, who primarily works with test automation. My primary interest in AI is amusing myself by seeing what images it can generate from my daft prompts- and then, when the image is nearly perfect, have it incorporate tacos into the picture. And have you tried having chatGPT rewwrite your resume in the style of different authors? Amazing past time! (though it does highlight some of the more problematic aspects of the technology, when it comes to things like human creative thought, and intelectual property etc.)
That being said there is no doubt that when it comes to AI - both in testing and otherwise - we all need to move it or loose it, and so I’ve started looking more actively into how AI can help me in my work; first and foremost by making me more effective. I want to have a working knowledge of how to use AI in my worklife, and from what I have seen so far, I have no real fears about AI replacing us. It will definitively change how we work, and probably to some extent what we do, but I’m quite optimistic about the possibilities it offers when it comes to our work. I am much more pesimistic and concerned when it comes to the overall impact this tech will have on the human race as a whole :grimacing:

My goal, I guess, is to keep up with the times, and not be the guy who turns up to work as an accountant with one of those boards with beeds on them. On a general note however, I am just as interested in keeping up with the ethical aspects the technology.

Hello Rossie and everyone!

My name is Aleksandra, and I currently have the privilege of leading a fantastic team of testers. My journey into this vibrant community began quite serendipitously—I stumbled upon it through a newsletter, and I’ve been hooked ever since.

My fascination with AI, especially in the realm of testing, stems from its incredible potential and versatility. The power of AI to transform and streamline processes is undeniable, and I’m particularly keen on exploring how it can be leveraged for writing documentation, automating tasks, or scripting for tools like Postman. The idea of integrating AI into these aspects of testing excites me, as I believe it can significantly enhance efficiency and creativity.

As I delve deeper into this challenge, my primary goal is to refine my skills in crafting effective prompts for AI. Mastering this skill is crucial, as it directly influences the quality of outcomes we can achieve with AI-assisted tasks. By enhancing my prompt-crafting abilities, I aim to unlock new potentials in AI testing, making our processes more innovative and our results more impactful.

I’m eager to learn from this community, share my experiences, and together, push the boundaries of what’s possible with AI in testing.

Looking forward to an enriching exchange of ideas!

Best,
Aleksandra
