I’m always analysing, reviewing and trying to continuously improve.
One kind of thing I think about is am i adding value / is what i’m or the team doing effective? How do I know? Is it someone telling us that’s good work? Have we found some interesting things? and so on 
any thoughts very welcome below.
Here are some little signs I’ve found that show we’re making a real difference:
- When developers start asking for your opinion before pushing code
- Those “phew, good catch!” moments that save a Friday deployment
- Team meetings where people actually want to hear your testing insights
- Seeing your bug reports lead to better features, not just fixes
- When product folks include you in early discussions (because they learned the hard way not to skip this
)
But my favorite? When users never notice our biggest wins - because we caught those sneaky issues before they could cause chaos!
Remember: Sometimes the quietest wins are the most valuable. Not every contribution needs fireworks and applause!
