Purpose:
To find connections between the Modern Testing Principles

Introduction:
A key to the Modern Testing Principles is that they support and interact with each other in multiple ways.

Activity:
Take a few minutes and look through the principles. Here are the short versions:

  2. We accelerate the team
  3. We are a force for continuous improvement
  4. We care deeply about the quality culture of our team
  5. We believe that the customer is the one who judges quality
  6. We use data extensively
  7. We expand testing abilities and knowhow across the team

See if you can list any patterns or connections you find between the modern testing principles. They are there. There’s no perfect answer for this exercise. What I found is the more I think about the Modern Testing Principles, the more connections I find. Share your findings below and let’s discuss these connections together

The principles are interconnected, reinforcing the idea that successful testing involves collaboration, customer-centricity, continuous improvement, a focus on quality culture, a data-driven approach, and a holistic testing perspective.

As covered during the course, there’s close links with MTP & lean but I think that they combine well to help define quality engineering. With my new role as a quality coach I think that you could describe my mission as building a quality culture through driving continuous improvement and expanding testing abilities in order to accelerate the team.
