Principle 5 - Exercise 2: How do you get feedback from your customers?

Time: 5-10 Minutes

Purpose: How do we get valuable feedback from customers?

Introduction: Customer feedback and interaction is an important part of the Modern Testing philosophy.

Activity:
Answer these two questions, and share and discuss your answers on this thread.

  1. How do you get customer feedback today?
  2. What else can you do to get feedback from customers (i.e. what else can you do that you’re not doing today)?
  1. Largely, we don’t. Product management / senior leadership do have some meetings with customers and we’ll get feature requests from sales, but very little direct feedback on what we’re building and the solutions we’ve built.
  2. We are pushing to have more interaction with customers. We are also asking for opportunities to visit our customers and see how our solution is used. So far this has been unsuccessful. :frowning: One thing that may be more achievable is through extending our system bug reports to include more than just debug logs.
