Principle 6 - Exercise 2: Can you make business value based hypothesises around a feature?

Time: 5-10 Minutes

Purpose: Practice using the hypothesis-based approach for data collection.

Introduction: Hypothesis-based approach for data collection is one way to come up with analytics that ties business goals to customer outcomes. For our hypotheses, we consider the action we’ll take if the goal is exceeded, met, or not met

Activity:

Pick a feature from your product.

  1. Make a hypothesis about the business value of this feature
  2. Determine what you’ll do if the goal/hypothesis is:
    • Met
    • Not Met
    • Exceeded

Please ask questions and share your ideas in a thread.

Hypothesis:

1.Having quick access to technical support/FAQ/guide in case something goes wrong with the software will help user satisfaction and organic marketing.

2.Met: We will increase the possibilities of our users to reach guidance and help in our webpage by making support links more accessible and visible
Not Met: we will keep the FAQ only accessible from the main page
Exceeded: we will evaluate different ways of providing support to our users, maybe considering adding a live customer support chat option
