I’m stepping into a Salesforce-related role for the first time, so I’m not really in the same position as you, but I can tell you a bit about my observations here in Germany. There are a lot of job adverts for people with Salesforce experience, and I think I found the one opportunity where it wasn’t a prerequisite. The job market sucks pretty much everywhere right now. I’ve also had companies tell me their hiring plans have changed, which I think has been true most of the time, but I also wouldn’t be surprised if they just didn’t want to give you proper feedback in that case. Almost no one provides individual feedback, even when you’ve taken the time and effort to interview or complete tasks for them.
It sucks, but it’s very probably not a “you” problem. Which I was told a lot too, so I know it doesn’t help much, but the market really is bad. Companies are extremely picky and there are a lot of qualified candidates applying for every job, so it really is a tough time to be looking.
I’m planning on sharing more insights from my job search in the coming weeks on LinkedIn. It’ll be specific to my search in Germany, but maybe it will still be interesting for you.
