What Habit Are You Cultivating?

Hey everyone!

Iā€™m curiousā€”what testing habit do you want to build? Iā€™m currently trying to add more exploratory testing to my day-to-day as well as small puzzle solving.

Testing is all about problem-solving every dayā€”figuring out whatā€™s broken, why it broke, and how to make it better. :bulb:

Here are some habit ideas:
Daily Habit: Take 15 minutes for exploratory testing ā€“ uncover hidden issues!
Weekly Habit: Reflect on a tricky bug you solved ā€“ what helped you crack it?
Challenge Habit: Try API testing for 10 minutes ā€“ step out of the comfort zone!

Whatā€™s your top habit goal? Looking forward to your replies

I am trying to develop a habit of reading physical books, especially those related to software testing, every day this year. I even purchased some with this intention.

However, I have not been successful so far, but I have not given up either. My goal is to take a break from digital screens and truly enjoy the content of a book by reading it in its physical form. I havenā€™t decided how many minutes I have to read every day, but yeah this is one habit on which Iā€™m working and looking forward to having it as part of my daily life.

Not reaching for a technical answer when trying to influence others.

This is a hard habit for me (and others Iā€™m betting) to break but focusing on the wants and needs of the person youā€™re influencing is far more effective. They donā€™t really care if youā€™re technically right if itā€™s not helping deliver something they want or need.

Making use of AI as a research tool Or a search engine alternative rather than a helping hand. As a skilled tester I donā€™t want to end up being too reliant on a software but rather be in control of the wheel myself.

I am trying to cultivate the habit of carving out a little time from each day for learning - a book, a class, whatever. I am trying for 1-2 hours but 30 or even 20 minutes is better than nothing. It directly correlates to my other habit I am trying to master - time management.

Itā€™s not a technical one, but Iā€™m trying to just not worry about everything thatā€™s not under my control.
