What’s the main initiative on your team right now?
Is it:
All of the above as part of the test strategy I’m building for the next year, also looking at a big shift of resourcing from offshore outsourced testers to in-house capabilities…
Shifting test left.
I’ve been pushing/encouraging the testers to get involved with feature discussions and to share their test ideas with the teams earlier, to get invited to meetings etc
Adopting automated regression tests using Appium
I don’t think that there is one initiative that we have at the moment.
We are a start-up so we have a lot of things that we need to work on to move on from PoC to a more quality first way of working. So yes to shift left and automation, introducing more strategy, looking at finding a WoW that works for us rather than out of the box Scrum+JIRA, InfoSec stuff, UX stuff…so much change.
But it’s all moving in the right direction, which means it’s all very exciting!
Speeding up build-times, which in our focus is probably a mix of
“Shifting testing left” and “Improving Strategy”
Reducing our regression time.
