AI helps with tests,
Smooth and swift in many way,
Fixing their flaws takes time.

The app a lake,
Silent surface, calm and clear,
But deep it’s boiling,
Errors lie beneath.

Not news, but some observations on testing.

#1
All tests are scripted
Important bugs stay unfound
Your project is doomed

#2
You do not explore
But automate everything
Your quality sucks

#3
Stub everything out
So the tests run nice and fast
It all will be fine

#4
Boss wants “full” testing
Says you must stay late at work
Go get a new job

#5
ISTQB
A blight on our profession
Heed not what they say

#6
Works on my machine
So dev closes the ticket
It was ever thus

We want XRay test reports
It does not do it like we want
We go back to Confluence

(FYI: We want XRay test reports for iterations, but that is something it cannot do so far)

Just a reminder to everyone that haikus have a strict form comprising three lines. The first line has 5 syllables, the second has 7 and the last has 5. The lines do not need to rhyme.

It’s all good Steve, folks can play with the rules by exploring the Haiku boundaries.

Keep 'em coming folks. :slightly_smiling_face:

Hmm, the boundary conditions for a haiku are pretty unambiguous. Perhaps we should re-specify the requirements for this thread as a haiku:

Haikus must have the
Right number of syllables
Except when they don’t

Now I’m aware of that I confused syllables with words.

I am unsure if
I would call a poem
next to Haiku one if it isn’t

Also I’m confused with counting syllables in English.

Silly you but still alive,
Writing about you day and night,
Make me feel wholesome live…

Some things look simple
Requirements clearly stating
Common fallacy

Syllables in English can be quite long but are mostly the same length in Japanese, so 5-7-5 can result in clunky Haiku in English.

Try micropoetry
Space for creativity
Still small enough for brevity
Economical like exploratory testing

Something that came in my mind while being stuck in traffic…

Pollution is in the air,
Doing Real testing now is rare,
Hallucination with AI is fair…
