Where are you learning about systems thinking?

Patrick Prill (@patrick) has been exploring many things related to systems thinking.

Do check out his blog, it’s great! I do enjoy how Patrick helps you reflect on how to explore complexity.

I’d like to know where else you’re getting your systems thinking fix. Who is writing and exploring this topic? How is it helping you? I’m keen to find new pieces, posts, and talks, but I’m not interested in older posts.

Lean Software Development (Poppendieck), CI/CD (e.g. the Continuous Delivery book by Jez Humble & David Farley) - Lean is the foundation for Continuous Delivery and DevOps and the interconnected evolution of Lean Software Development, DevOps, and Continuous Delivery has reshaped software engineering. That’s why it is IMO crucial to apply Lean thinking (e.g., system view and removing waste) also to testing of applications that get implemented with Lean-based development practices.

I’m currently reading “Learning Systems Thinking” (Diana Montalion. O’Reilly. 2024) [and got the ebook format, not Kindle]. I’m far from having finished and like it so far: Interesting & fun to read.
