30 Days of Agile Testing - Day 20: What's in your toolkit?

The 30 Days of Agile Testing Day 20 task is:

Contribute to The Club discussion about what is in your and your team’s tool kit

If you’re not sure about what might be in a toolkit, maybe the video I shared on Day 3 might help you

What’s in your and your team’s tool kit?

My personal toolkit:

  • Postman
  • BurpSuite
  • ZAP

These things I use on almost every project that I’m at. Always fun & easy to use.

Favorite repo: GitHub - minimaxir/big-list-of-naughty-strings: The Big List of Naughty Strings is a list of strings which have a high probability of causing issues when used as user-input data.

Love that repo too @kristof! It’s found me some very interesting bugs

My team’s is using so many tools :exploding_head:

  • JIRA (taskboard) + Zephyr (test management) + confluence (documentation) + mantis (for custumers)
  • Aifex (exploratory with AI)
  • Cypress (e2e)
  • Postman (API)
  • Sonar (quality code)
  • GIT (source)
  • Docker/portainer (environment)
  • SQLdeveloper or dbeaver (BDD)
  • Jenkins (integration)
  • Firefox/Chrome with so many extensions (I like bug magnet and axe)
  • Enterprise Architect (modelisation)
  • Slack (communication)
  • Outlook (mail)
  • Internet site, like https://fr.fakenamegenerator.com or https://thispersondoesnotexist.com/

But the toolkit as Julia Pottinger is not about tools, it’s about learning process isn’t it?

At 22 minutes in the video @anne-laure you’ll see Julias own toolkit which is a mix of tools and learning processes/goals
