(Rosie) #1

The first challenge on the 30 Days Performance Testing Challenge is to choose a book to read.

Does anyone have any recommendations? Or care to share what you plan to read for the challenge?

This recent Performance Testing Guide article listed a few books.

  • “Every Computer Performance Book” by Bob Wescott
  • “Web Application Performance Testing” by Meier, Barber, Banshode, Farre and Rae

This one was kinda quick and entertaining.

I’ve gone for “Web Application Performance Testing” by Meier, Barber, Banshode, Farre and Rae. It’s free to download from Microsoft: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb924375.aspx

It gets pretty good reviews, so I’m looking forward to starting it.

I have gone for The Art of Application Performance Testing: From Strategy to Tools by Ian Molyneaux
