30 Days of Quality Day 18: Share a Bug

On day 18 of 30 Days of Quality we’re challenged to:

Share a bug you have found in your system and the quality characteristics that it was potentially affecting

What did you discover?

I found this yesterday:

STEPS TO REPLICATE ISSUE:

  1. Login toprovided URL above with provided credentials
  2. Go to company record for company: xxxxxxx
  3. Click on Send Communication, salect any of the 4 types provided and hit SEND button.
  4. Go to ‘Communications’ tab.
  5. Hover over the item for communication that was just sent . Sent Date column and Result Date colum times do not match. There’s a 5 hs difference between them

ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA:
Sent Date and Result Date should follow the same time zone setting (from General Settings). See image from Live environment as an example.

Time zones are a sensitive part of the system for our client’s workflows.
So, quality aspects this bug could affect are the following:

  • Functionality
  • Data
  • Internationalisation
