30 Days of Testability Day 20: Blockers For Higher Testability

Think about what’s currently stopping you from achieving higher testability. Share your findings on The Club.

Here’s my answer for day 20 (part of the task is to post it on the club, so, you know, here goes):

A few examples:

  1. The company and various departments leads, as they say they can’t provide me more access to various systems, tools, servers, dbs, etc…
  2. The company as they don’t have enough resources to invest in creating stable/predictable/production-like test environments configurations;
  3. Missing or lack of improved logging implementations - due to lack of resources and difficulty to get support from business;
  4. Not being included in various conversations on some of the product features;
  5. Infrastructure - not enough test environments to spin around: in a sprint, on 3 env., with the devs, we go through about 15 feature branches with 1-10 versions each.
