Accessibility Resources

If you’re diving into accessibility for the first time, it can seem a bit overwhelming. I was overwhelmed because I knew the importance of getting things right and paralysed myself a bit rather than just taking a step to try something.

Rosie shared this resource with me and I thought it would be an excellent thing to share with others who either like a single go-to reference or felt like I did when jumping into accessibility.

Are there any go-to accessibility resources you would add?

I frequently use this WCAG quick reference as it has filter options that customize your view.

That’s a great looking resource. I’ve just started getting my head into the Access Assistant chrome extension today and came on here to try and find out if you can export reports. It seems like a great tool!

Book Recommendation: Inclusive Design Patterns by Heydon Pickering

Whilst this book is aimed at software developers, I found value in reading this book from a testing point of view. I’m new to accessibility testing and this has helped build my knowledge on things to look out for and potential solutions I can discuss with developers.
