👋 Introductions Thread – Q2 2025

Hi everyone! :waving_hand:

I’ve joined the community to connect with fellow quality enthusiasts, share ideas, and stay in tune with testing world. With nearly two decades in software testing and QA leadership, I’m always looking to learn from real-world experiences and practical conversations, not just theory.

Right now, I’m excited about the growing focus on resilience testing, and how quality fits into AI/ML-driven platforms.

I’m based in the London.

Outside of work, I enjoy helping my wife in the kitchen and garden, love going on long drives (with plenty of snack breaks), and I also run software testing training sessions in my spare time. Looking forward to connecting and learning from you all

Hello~

My background is in analytical chemistry, but I’ve recently pivoted into more technical roles. I now help build LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems) using Microsoft Power Apps and other tools in the Power Platform suite.

I’ve been asked to lead testing efforts for our product. While I’ve had experience in quality control labs and a bit of video game testing in the past, this is my first time diving into formal software testing. I’m here to learn, connect with experienced testers, and build the skills I need to succeed in this role. Looking forward to learning from all of you!

So great to read all your introductions. Thanks for sharing! Get a real sense of how diverse this community is.

It’s now possible to follow profiles. Visit a MoT profile page (not The Club profile page) and look for the “Follow” button.

Here’s a list of everyone who has introduced themselves on this thread. Go follow!

Good things are in the pipeline for the follow feature, so get in early.

@simon_tomes - I really appreciate the effort, you did. Going to every profile separately and then copy pasting the link here for MoT folks… :hugs:

Hey everyone! :waving_hand:

I’m a developer and founder experimenting with ways to make UI testing feel like magic — fast, zero setup, and actually useful. I recently launched EnsureUI — a GitHub Action that lets you add a comment like // EnsureUI: should display header and footer, and it checks your live app after deployment. No test files, no config.

:brain: I’m excited about:

  • AI-assisted testing — making tests smarter without making devs slower
  • Talking to other folks shipping fast, and trying to avoid breaking things

:round_pushpin: Based in Ukraine.

Would love to learn from what tools you rely on, what frustrates you in testing today, and if anyone’s exploring AI + automation in interesting ways.
