I have been looking for is a web project where I can contribute as a tester using Python and the Selenium library as my tool. In my learning journey I have so far only made my own projects, and I look forward to actually participate in a real project.
All I have found so far are projects for software testing tools or libraries where I have noting useful to add. I have done my search on both up for grabs and first contributions but I seem to miss the mark again and again. The closest I have found is Oppia but they use Protractor which means Node and Typescript. I use Python however.
Please let me know if you are aware of any open source web project that needs someone to write selenium test. Your advise on how I can improve my search would be greatly appreciated.
I donโt know of any open source projects which would use python test automation. Have you maybe tried looking for Open Source projects which donโt have test automation and offer to add some from scratch?
I admire your enthusiasm Magnus. Some very good pointers to where to start searches, those โhelperโ sites are pretty cool. I guess you just have to keep scanning those lists.
Reminded me of when my grandfather showed me how he could hammer in 6" nails with just one blow, he was able to get me close with a bit of training, but the only way I could match his skill was practise. And nails are not cheap. One almost has to build your own furniture, to get practise in.
