Good article. I’ve certainly been experimenting with ChatGTP and have used it to assist in writing some bits of code for automation.
I would definitely just give a word of caution to not just blindly take what ChatGTP says, and perform your own research into how to achieve something, as well as using ChatGTP to help. The issue I’ve found with getting an answer from ChatGTP is that while the code may work, it can contain more code than needed… and it also may not ‘fit in’ to your own coding standards in your framework - you could end up with a bit of a ‘frankenstiens monster’ type of code if you just copy/paste that stuff in.
ChatGTP is an incredibly useful resource however.
In a shameless plug, and since we’re sharing, I also wrote a critical thinking sort of piece about what is actually regarded as ‘AI’ recently, you can take a look here.
Yes, that is good advice and that is why I say that you can “use or adapt” the code either AI tool suggests.
testrigor.com has a tool that generates full tests for you based on your description using OpenAI GPT. Here is the video: How to use Generative AI to generate automated tests - YouTube Disclaimer: I’m a co-founder.
