Weekly Reflection: What questions would you pose?

I currently use lattice to encourage me to have a weekly reflection (on a Friday), and the set questions are a little bit vague/ almost irrelevant to why I’m doing this.
I want to use these to spark conversations with my manager, for one2ones and also use them to use for my end of quarter reviews.

These are the current questions:

  • What did you focus on this week?
  • What decisions or changes have been made?
  • What challenges or roadblocks do you need help with?
  • What are your plans and priorities for next week?
  • Is there anything else on your mind you would like to share?

What questions would you ask yourself as a tester?

For me its really is about what questions help you grow, and less about proving stuff to your manager…and I’m a manager . So all your questions are valid, especially if they work for you. Extra ones I’d ask myself:

  • What positive difference have I made this week?
  • Who have I helped this week?
  • What have I learned this week?
  • What discussions have I influenced this week?

Great set of questions on this thread so far.

Here are some other ideas.

  • Who helped me this week?
  • Where do I feel I’ve put most of my energy into?
  • What energy am I using up that I feel isn’t helping me achieve my goals?
  • Who needs more attention than I perhaps thought they originally needed?
  • When did I last laugh or smile at something?

It’s a fun exercise to do this so will edit this post if more ideas pop in. (no GPT cheatin’ for me  )
