What can we do to support & amplify the LGBTQ+ testing community during Pride Month?

I was in a LinkedIn message chat with one of our community last week and they kindly reminded me that June is Pride Month.

They suggested it would be cool if MoT could amplify queer contributors throughout the month – for example, share links to talks and articles written for MoT.

This is a brilliant idea!

What else as a community can we do to support and amplify LGBTQ+ testing folks during Pride Month? What would you be willing to commit to doing?

I’m bisexual, if that helps; I’m always up in here

I wonder whether people would have much to contribute on how their queerness influences their testing

I’d be interested to see that. For me, honestly, it never comes up. I do think about my letter friends when considering testing oracles, so if a system tends towards a cis heteronormative standard from the influence of its designer I will offer the perspective of someone who doesn’t fit that role, but that’s come up all of twice in my career over very specific questions of gender and sexuality in user forms. If someone has a more interesting perspective that’d be cool to see.
