What does a junior tester do when they are asked to "Maintain tests"

Hi all,

Today, we conducted another task analysis session for the Junior testing curriculum based on the Job Profile we captured with the support of the testing community.

For this session we were considering the task:

Maintain tests

Combining a series of community activities including social questions and our curriculum review sessions to identify the steps we need to take to successfully achieve this task and have listed them below.

  • Reflect on whether the product or user behaviour has changed to cause an update in understanding
  • Engage with the team to determine if changes have occurred and update understanding
  • Reviewing existing risks to check they still align with our understanding
  • Review test artefacts to check if they still align with our understanding
  • Update risks to factor in changes or handle new information
  • Delete testing artefacts and/or risks that are no longer relevant

What we would like to know is what do you think of these steps?
Have we missed anything?
Is there anything in this list that doesn’t make sense?
