What is currently the biggest trend in software testing?
Ive tried asking in discord and google. Im asking because im intrested in peoples opinions.

Why are you asking?
Do you want to jump on it?
Why does it matter to you what most people do?
For good and bad this not sign of the thing being good or bad.
Is just what most people do. Which might by triggered by bullshit and different reasons.
Do just want to study the trend?
Or what are you looking for?
What is your concrete? Why do you need to know this?
Imo there is much bullshit in the trends in testing.
Especial those which uneducated management decided on and forces testers to do so.
Maybe AI?
I think API Automation and UI automation is the hottest in this moment.
Accessibility (a11y)
I see both automations being topics since decades.
Not very hot with the meaning of new, but still very big.
Therefore I see it not as a (by tendency more short-term) trend.
Probably AI is currently a trend and has the potential to become a more permanent topic.
With the same blindness as many at automation.
AI assisted visual testing seems to be becoming more prominent.
I’m doing some AI construction work
Exploratory and reporting skills.
Accessibility is definitely getting much more important and plenty of attention. From a role point of view, quality coaching is also something that seems to be rising.
Whilst automation has been the dominant thing when I look at the jobs market, I have been pleasantly surprised to see exploratory testing being increasingly in demand.
AI in software testing and nocode/lowcode.
Common sense in testing.
