I could upload them but I write up my test strategy in Notion and write my test cases in Qase. I link those documents into canvas.
Officially we use MS Teams, but unofficially, or if we just want to discuss something fairly small, we collaborate with slack.
I work for a startup. We use Slack for collaboration and Teams for mostly meetings, typically involving three or more participants
its Copilot integrated with teams and can help us looking at our data
Mid-sized business and we use slack for collaboration in product engineering. The rest of the business uses teams. The quality’s been dropping over the last year or so on slack though so am intrigued what other people are using
I started testing the voting tool: its allowing to case multiple votes ![]()
Bonus points if you can share:
– Whether you’re at a startup or enterprise
Startup
– Which industry you work in
FinTech
– And how well the tool supports your testing/QA workflow
Reduce feedback loop
Instant sharing of features and feedback
Integration with Atlassian Suite.
Please note that the above opinions were laid by those submitting them. Our team mainly uses Microsoft Teams. We feel that it fits in with our workflow and our tooling. I am a software test engineer, and it sorts the testing/QA machinery for the tool pretty well. We will be looking to see how Epic Test Quest carves out a space alongside these! ![]()
This poll was so interesting and also all your answers and insights as well. Thank you sooo much. We decided for now to go with Slack and next will be Microsoft teams. Main reason was practicality as I started putting a slack app together and it flowed better than the teams app. But I also agree to target enterprise (which I still think will be a good target for our solution) we will need teams. I just need to understand teams more as I never used it before for internal communication (or at least I don’t remember)
Part of the Slack crew - the channels are set mainly around the individual projects we work on - we have internal and partner channels (these are mainly when there’s a need to escalate urgent matters)

We’re not really an enterprise company (nor a startup). We’re mainly a web development company (mainly working with WordPress)
Slack and Teams are popular team collaboration tools, and the workflows suit almost most companies. My opinion is, if you’re ready to build your own team collaboration software, go for API SDK providers like MirrorFly or Sendbird. So that you need not start from scratch.
You can embed features inside your own tools or project dashboards. But prioritize that you get full control to handle the sensitive project data from the provider.
In the last organization, management was using slack and currently we are using Teams, and tbh I personally found Slack more user-friendly than Teams, especially while setting a new status, which sometimes becomes a headache.
Many other cool features give Slack an edge over teams like better connectivity, even during low network coverage.
