What tools can help us with the data aspect of software testing?

@ajwilson and I hosted our first This Week in Testing session on LinkedIn today.

We went down some rabbit holes.

First with Data Raves and then we discussed tools that we’ve consider or used from the data aspect of software testing.

Tools that came up:

I’m sure I missed other suggestions and there must be more options.

What tools do you use to help with your data software testing efforts?

Data is a broad term(facts and statistics collected together for reference or analysis.)
This can refer to inputs or outputs given to a person, a tool, a product, a system, interface.

In brief, it can refer to most things input and output in testing.

Did you have some specific purpose or scope in mind when asking about tools for the data?

I was thinking from a broader perspective, what should we be thinking about when it comes to data?

Who can we collaborate with from the rest of the company?

What types of tests should we be thinking of? (e.g pairwise testing was raising in our conversation) And as a consequence, what types of tools can assist us?

What tools could we make use of? What do data scientists use?
