Where does your MoT profile rank on search engines?

@hanisha celebrated her MoT profile appearing on the first page with a Google search of her name and it got me wondering not only where I listed, but where is everyone else?

On Google my MoT profile is second after LinkedIn.
On Bing I’m nowhere unless I add MoT then it is number 1.
On DuckDuckGo results quickly switch to Andy Stokes with MoT nowhere in sight.

After a bit of testing I found that for other search engines adding ‘who is’ before my name made MoT appear in the top 5 results.

Let’s hear about your visibility and where you are ranked and what if anything can we do to improve the situation?

If I type “Kristof Van Kriekingen” in google: It actually doesn’t show up for me. It doesn’t even show on the 2nd page of google

I do see other MoT Content from me, but not the profile. For me the first MoT hit, is the last post on the first page of google (8th), which is a TestSphere Roulette podcast :stuck_out_tongue:

I literally have to type “Profile” behind my name for it to come up “kristof van kriekingen profile”
It comes up for me as a 3rd record. Behind 2 linkedins.

Adding “who is” gets the MoT Profile page to the first page on the 5th slot.

weird it used to be on the first goole result page for ‘Christine Pinto’ but now its on the second. Not sure what that google algorithm did there

My MOT profile doesn’t show up until I hit page 4 using Google and using quotes around my name. There are quite a few Judy Mosley’s out there in the world.

My profile doesn’t show up at all
But more worryingly, my blog despite doing seo (using cursor) my blog doesn’t show up either.

That’s the benefit of having a unique name
In my case there are already many people with same name and more popular than me
So I’m facing tough competition but still somehow I managed to find place at 5th/6th position on first page of google search result.

It might actually help dropping a link to your profiles in the thread to help Google crawl it. Maybe

This is an interesting topic that can be painful in some cases like mine . My full name is pretty common and so, it doesn’t appears in Google. If i searched my full name together with MoT and only my LinkedIn profile appeared. I don’t know why.
So, let me extend this topic by asking: How can i improved my MoT profile?

Some of my ministry of testing posts appear third and fourth when I google my name. My LinkedIn always ranks 1

We’re coming after LinkedIn!

I use Kagi, and when I type in my own name the MoT profile is at the bottom of the first page!

There are a lot of famous and more search engine optimized Stuart Thomas’ out there, but was surprised to see my LinkedIn profile crack the top 5.

If I add Quality to the search then I own the whole the first page :see_no_evil_monkey: With my MoT profile coming in 5th in the text links, but 3 of my 404 talks are highlighted as video links after the 2nd text link.
