Thanks for suggestions. I started reading Automating and Testing a REST API by Alan Richardson.

I’ve been following him for some time (currently subscribed to his Patreon feed). Love his videos. Always lots of examples and good explanations.

I do not know Java. Not sure how critical it is. Hopefully I will be able to find a way to practice.

I recently started learning API testing and I’m wondering which book is better for beginners?
I hesitate between Alan Richardson’s Automating & Testing a Rest Api and Mark Winteringham’s Testing Web API-s.

First, I wanted Alan’s book but most reviews say that it’s not supported with much examples.

Earlier I was testing API manually using tools like Postman and Swagger and recently I have started exploring API Automation testing and hence I have started reading this book which covers the fundamentals of API testing using Python language.
