I am thrilled to announce that my team and I released Capture, a new tool that saves time on communication between manual testers and developers.
It is a free bug reporting tool that lets you share bug reports in two clicks:
Record the test execution in Capture
Send the link to developers
They’ll receive a transcribed recording of all the test steps, details about the device and operating system, browser version, screen resolution, network traffic and console logs.
I believe that will help to fix bugs faster and make this process more efficient.
So, if you are interested in testing out a new free tool for bug reporting, please feel free to check it out and let me know your thoughts on Capture, I would really appreciate any feedback! http://usecapture.io/
Hi @taniazhydkovaa - it looks like similar other testing tools/features out there in the field. Thanks for introducing it here.
IMO:
To be honest, I am not right happy with the clickbaiting-method in the title, as at the moment the tool is “free use” because it is in a beta-phase. Later it will cost something of course. Just for my understanding I don’t like “free tool” announcements and not being transparent about it (only if you access the website). It is a tool by the company aqua cloud.
At the moment I don’t see a USP to other existing tools or features with other platforms. Maybe this will be clearer later.
Just my 2cts.
Hi @alexschnapper! Thank you for your feedback.
I wrote that this product is free because all the existing features of Capture will still be free in the future. Sorry if that confused you.
This tool reminds me of Jam.Dev , although I do have similar reservations about this app that I have with Jam.Dev(although Jam is pretty open with info) that isn’t listed on Captures website.
To be honest, there isn’t much given as far as information from the site.
Is this a cloud or an on prem tool? If it is cloud, what type of security does it use to protect my data? What data is it storing, how does it store it and how long does it keep it?
Edit: Looks like it’s built off of https://aqua-cloud.io/ so it would be a cloud solution. Their site doesn’t talk about how they secure the data(or it’s not easy to find). I couldn’t use it in my line of work sadly. But it looks like a cool app if you’re able to use it!
Hey @sharmon !
