Welcome to Day 17 of our 30 Days of TestBash! Today’s task is inspired by the workshop, “Your Name Here: Starting Your Public Speaking Journey” with @karentestsstuff and @testerfromleic.
Public speaking at a conference begins with an idea—something you want to share or teach others. This workshop helped attendees brainstorm ideas, craft them into abstracts, and gather feedback. In this task, it’s your turn to take the first step!
Day 17 Task:
- Brainstorm Your Talk Idea: Think of a topic related to testing that you’re passionate about or a problem you’ve solved that others might benefit from. It doesn’t have to be perfect—just get your idea out there!
-
- Share Your Elevator Pitch: Write a brief elevator pitch (1short paragraph) that explains the problem you want to solve or the message you want to teach. If you’d like feedback, mention that in your post!
- Give Feedback or Show Support: Take a moment to provide feedback to others who’ve shared their ideas or show your support by liking ideas that resonate with you.
Bonus Step: Ready to share your message on stage? Submit your talk idea to TestBash Brighton 2025 and take the next step in your public speaking journey!
Why Take Part:
- Practice Makes Progress: Creating an elevator pitch is a great first step in developing a talk idea.
- Get Community Support: Sharing your idea and gathering feedback will help you refine your idea ready to take to the stage!
