Email Validation

Would you say this_is#oddemail{insert!}$^-=?~@chirpychew.com is a valid email? Test it out here

If you said no than you might be surprised to find out that I registered this email with my hosting service, you can use it for testing if you like (emails might bounce back though because the domain has expired)

If you want more context, have a read of this blog post

When have you been caught by email validation issues?

I remember I once found a bug using sam@sammystutoring.com.au (my tutoring email), the JAVA SPRING framework thought β€œhmm, .au, you must want an audio file returned” when I tried to log into a mobile app

signing up with my work email address - it just had a hyphen in it, but the front-end validation for email addresses on that website rejected it
