Help us improve our new Onboarding flow

Hi there, new here, so I’m not sure if this is appropriate, hope it is, as I noticed similar posts.

We are a small team currently working on a free and open source (FOSS) Bitcoin Lightning Wallet. Yes, Bitcoin, please bear with me. No scams here, and I won’t try to sell you any tokens or crap. We are looking for honest testers that can provide us some feedback on UX and usability.

We have a test environment available at https://test.shockwallet.app from where you’ll access a mirror of the main app that has the latest features. The main app runs on ios, android and web PWA from desktop and mobile.

What we need your help for:

Experiment with different ways to create an account

  1. via email (SANCTUM another of our products)
  2. via nostr key (knowledge of the use nostr keys is suggested by not mandatory, more info at nostr.org)

Add Funding source

  1. Bootstrap with the custodial service (one click setup it connect to the funding source).
  2. Use custom Lightnin.pub node, that i an ideal scenarion, is provided by a trusted party or a service provider (when requested, use the following string for testing: nprofile1qyd8wumn8ghj7um5wfn8y7fwwd5x7cmt9ehx2arhdaexkqpqwmk5tuqvafa6ckwc6zmaypyy3af3n4aeds2ql7m0ew42kzsn638q9s9z8p)

Familiarize yourself with the wallet application.

Browse around, try to reach the main wallet home where balance and transactions are shown when wallet is in use. Try to:

  • Try add another account with another source. You can add as many as you wish.
  • Update your account(s) identity information and save a backup of your nostr keys.

We have been working on this web application for many years and we are now ready to share it with a broader audience. Browsing around all these flows should not take more than 10-15 min

We appreciate privacy, and we respect yours. However, we will be easier if you avoid sharing any private information, including email. You are welcome to use a temporary email or an email alias if you wish.

I’ll be available here for any questions and information in case anything is unclear, or you can share your feedback anonymously through the feedback form in the left side of the screen.

Thank you in advance

As suggested here, I’d call @rhianlewis and see if she can perhaps help improving testing approach in this app?

What I noticed in previous interactions, an other forums and groups requests, is that people do not know about the app, ShockNet brand in general. So scepticism is usually the common response I get, and to even click a link to see what’s there.

How I can improve trust on readers and invite them provide authentic feedback?
