Hi , do anyone use any extension for checking the spelling in the websites

As i am in webpage based testing , I would like to know if there’s is any extension which will check the spellings in the page .
I do tried 'Spell check for chrome ’ & 'webpage spell check 'extension . Both are not detecting the spelling automatically for our project.

Not sure what those are but did you try the build in Spell checker?

Could you let me know whether it works for our projects ( private website with non-editable mode)
Eg : Consider the image , If say ‘implementation’ spelling is wrong its shows ?.This website is in non-editable mode.

I don’t know if that will work for a non-editable mode. (I doubt it)
So you basically want to test the copy of a website to see if there are any spelling mistakes in there?

  1. Shouldn’t you do this in the analysis phase where the copy is written?
  2. If you really want to check it on the website itself, you should scrape the website and send it via API towards googles spellchecker API: Google Spell Check API - SerpApi

But I would spell-check the copy before the implementation 100%, it’s not optimal to check it via the UI like this.

Another option is to try TripleChecker. It’s not an extension but you can submit a URL for a spelling/grammar/broken link check.

This seems to be a good choice, to bad that is not free.

I use Webpage Spell-Check - Chrome Web Store (google.com) for doing this.

It’s good!

Such micro tools are great for boosting our testability.

I am maintaining my collection of such micro tools for micro needs here: Rahul’s Testing Toolkit (notion.site)

Feel free to grab some good ones!
