👋 Introductions Thread – Q3 2024

Hi all! Karen of Karen Tests Stuff here :sparkles:

It’s been awhile since I’ve been active in the MoT community, but I love how y’all have been thriving since our last contact

  • What brings you to The Club and Ministry of Testing community?

Today, I’m posting to let everyone know that @testerfromleic and I are running an abstract-writing workshop at testbash Brighton next week called “Your Name Here”! If you’re a new public speaker, or have an idea you would like to share on stage, come and join our workshop to take the first step.

Side note:
I’m one of the most awkward people who you’ll meet at TestBash, so please please please come be awkward with me

SEE YOU THERE

Hi Everyone Kay here. I got recommended to this platform by a programme I have just started. Very happy to be part of this community and can’t wait to see what lies ahead in the testing adventure.

Hello all, I’m James.

  • What brings you to The Club and Ministry of Testing community?
I love this place, it’s full of great people and even though I often describe myself as an introvert, MoT community always feels like home. And it’s even better when I get to see some of the friendly faces in person at the events

  • What are you excited about right now?
Right now I’m excited to be going to TestBash next week!!

  • What do you want to learn?
Everything! - I love learning about new things.

  • Where are you based?
    I’m based in Birmingham UK

  • What else could you share about yourself?
I love asking the “stupid” questions. y’know, the ones that everyone else seems scared or embarrassed to ask… I ask those all the time!!
I have a spaniel called Freddie, he’s my little shadow and keeps me sane.
I love testing and tech in general. But I also love cars and engines, I have worked on and driven many cars. My first engine transplant was done with only the knowledge gained from YouTube videos.

Hi,
You are in good company here. ATSQA has some paid curated Micro-essential training that could help towards ISTQB Foundation Level exam and additional Certification.
