MoT Foundation Certificate in Test Automation - suitability

Hello all.

I am a manual tester looking to get into automation. My company is willing to pay for a course. I currently have a paid Codecademy account and am learning some JavaScript there.

I would also like to do an automation specific course. The MoT Foundation Certificate in Test Automation course sounds really well put together - so much better than the ISTQB equivalent! However, I have one question. At work we are currently in the process of moving our automation suite to Playwright with Typescript. Do you think the JavaScript variant of the MoT automation course would be still be the best for me considering it doesn’t specifically cover Playwright?

Not specifically a comment on the certificate content or suitability.

But Typescript is essentially JavaScript with extra things. In my opinion, a Javascript focussed course would be valuable in your situation. Even if it doesn’t cover Playwright specifically. All skills are transferable.
