Hi all,
Jean-Christophe, Qa Engineer from Paris.
Happy to join this community; to share, help and be helped (if needs
).
Don’t know what to say… so if you have questions…
JC.
Welcome JC. You could start by introducing yourself. Who are you? What do you love? Where do you work? What’s your job?
So,
JC, 32, married, 2 kids (second borned 2 month ago… so I don’t sleep anymore! : ).
Working as QA engineer Automation at Oodrive (Paris France).
I love:
Obviously my wife and kids!
My job ( rare enought to tell!
)
Sports, in particular Historical Medieval Fights (HMB exemple for curious peoples: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cdIpum3GmVs&t=2420s). I have my own “team”, preparing myself for France championship in Duel categories.
I was a big gamer… until my first kid born…
And… that enough for now?
Are you aware of the Paris Meetup group? https://www.meetup.com/Ministry-Of-Testing-Paris/
@rosie Yep thx; not possible for me this time
Welcome on board
This place is slowly becoming a gathering of froggies!
Just a few ideas to help you feed your introduction:
What led you to testing in the first place?
Do you have a technical background or a business background or a scientific background?
What do you like in testing?
In what type of team / work setting are you currently in?
How long have you been in testing?
Thx Florence :
So:
What led you to testing in the first place?
Luck / Friends.
My job and studdies was totaly diffrent. I was a photographer / graphic artist for more than 8 years.
In 2012 I decided to change my professionnal way. Photography is dead or almost, press is dead too, and I was working for Lagardère group (big french press group) for the most so…
I have many develloppers friends who told me “Come with us we have cookies:)”. And to make it short story, QA was a good introduction to Dev world so here I am!
Do you have a technical background or a business background or a scientific background?
As I told… artistic skills maybe?
But work in progress to fill my gaps (ISTQB Fondation Done, Master degree in project)
What do you like in testing?
This job was made for me! I love the investigative work Qa means, the technical part,
the love of a job well done…
But the automation is my favorite part (Selenium / JAVA).
In what type of team / work setting are you currently in?
Not sure to understand you question…
You mean SSII or permanent?
How long have you been in testing?
Have a real Qa job from almost 4 years.
Anything else?
