UI Automation Week Feb 2021 - Challenge 1 - Basic UI Check (Beginner)

This challenge is one of the UI automation week challenges that get you thinking about and practising UI automation. Experience Level: Beginner

Introduction: One of the most common blockers for individuals starting out with UI automation, is where to actually start. In our experience, the best place is to start with a basic problem to solve. By keeping it simple, you can take the time to get to learn the basics of the tools you want to use. So this challenge will give you what you need to kick start your UI automation.

Purpose: This challenge presents a basic UI feature to automate to get you started. It will help you learn how to get a UI automation tool setup and

Activity:

Using a UI automation tool of your choosing automate the following flow:

  1. Navigate to Restful-booker-platform demo
  2. Fill in the Username and Password input fields with credentials:
    • Username: admin
    • Password: password
  3. Assert that the โ€˜Createโ€™ button appears

You can use any tool and any language to complete this challenge
