Introductions Thread – Q4 2023

I want to learn, share, and socialize with other humans who work in software. The connections I’ve made with the Software Testing community via forums such as The Club have been amazing over the last few years, so I’m looking forward to connecting with you, or reconnecting with you if you’ve been away awhile and are coming back!

Right now I’m really going deep on how to tackle testing challenges better, by making use of collaborative testing. This means I’m spending more and more time with my team, and together we are helping each other get the right testing done and building in quality during development.

I’ve got a few different topics I’m learning right now, mainly sub-topics around going deep on Mobile Application testing. I’m keen on learning more about how to apply Security, Performance, and different levels of Automation, in the context of a mobile app.

I’m based in a small village in Nottinghamshire, England, UK that is near Sherwood Forest! I’ve not been to the Notts MoT meet-up often, although I really should make the effort more. I’m seriously looking forward to TestBash coming to Nottingham in 2024, and hope I can get myself there!

I love to celebrate anyone who is working to make software better. For a few years, I ran the daily award Tester of The Day, and I’m very slowly working on ideas on how I can bring some of this energy back, but in a new format and with a new focus.

Thank you to amazing humans, @christian.baumann and Al Goodall, who I had a great chat about this with during TestBash UK 2023.
